I'm assuming this is some kind of software glitch, because this behavior is super dysfunctional. If it's a short document, the issue isn't too bad, but for long, collaborative texts where I need to edit a lot of comments I often resort to using a different computer with an older version of MS word. If I scroll away to a different page of text and then scroll back, the comment text will disappear. Text will appear in-line with the regular text of the document (not off to the side like a normal comment). On occasion, especially for word documents with a lot of comments, clicking on a comment in the navigation pane will jump me to a random part of the document, and my comment Shows up in the righthand side of the screen) doesn't update until I'm done editing.
